Identity Theft

How well do we really know our friends? I was coming home last night and ran into another tenant in my building who was talking to the doorman. She starts telling me about how her really good friend, who was her roommate also for almost 2 years, stole her identity. Makes you really think about how trusting people are and how there are so many people out there that can just take advantage of anyone. How are these people raised? Do you think that it was really because of how they were raised or are some people just like that? If something like that happened to me, I don't know how I'd be able to trust people. But I guess, it also goes back to people who marry murderers, child molesters, etc...you think you really know someone and then they do something like that. Crazy world!
