Naive

Have you ever done something in your life where you look back and think...what the hell was I thinking? Was I really that stupid? I was chatting with one of my friends today and thought about that. Gosh, it must have been when I was 19 or 20. I had met this guy on the internet and we were chatting, emailing, writing letters and even talking on the phone for months. We got along really well. So we finally decided to meet. He was from LA and bought a ticket to Vancouver to meet me for the first time. We were looking at what hotel would be the best for him to stay at...where he would get the best out of Vancouver. Well, a week before he was suppose to come, his mom found the ticket and told him he was not allowed to come. He quickly called me to tell me about it and then asked if I wanted to go visit him instead. OF COURSE! A free trip to LA! Why not? So he changed his ticket and got me one and sent it to me. A week later I was down in LA and even lied to my parents to be there. I told them that I was going to Portland with one of my good friends. I did tell my sister where I was going though. It was a good 4 days...never been to so many amusement parks in my life. I think I hit 3 of them in the 4 days. Way too much for me.

Anyways, I was so lucky that this guy was not some psycho that was waiting for me to come so he could kill me or something. What was I thinking? So I pose the question....what have you done in your life where you think back and say...what the hell was I thinking?
