House Guests

So my uncle and cousin have been visiting since Saturday.  They have been really good guests...they are clean, make me dinner, do my dishes, etc.  It's been great.  We've been playing board games and cards at night.  I actually have some company.  But I guess I miss my freedom and privacy as well.  It's really hard cause I normally work until I feel like it's time to leave.  This whole week I've been watching the clock and feeling bad if I leave any later than 6pm cause they may be expecting me at home...but then I feel bad cause I'm going to be leaving early tomorrow to go home to Vancouver.  I've also noticed that I've been tiptoeing around the apartment in the morning just so I don't wake them and the other day I forgot something at home but decided not to go back to pick it up cause it would disturb them.  I also no longer can go to the bathroom or shower with the door open.  It's great to have guests but I've come to realize that I like living alone and it would take a lot of getting used to if I was to ever have a roommate again...but then again...I think someone mentioned in Head Dump's blog that if you're single too long you'll get too used to it.

I have cousins but I'd dip my body in acid before I'd let them stay with me. Plus my cousins are the most nastiest people I've ever seen. - TUNA

I don't think you're cousins would want to stay with you anyways...with all the freaky shit that you do!

Yeah but you seem to be into that freaky shit. I've got the VHS to prove it. - TUNA

yeah guests are hard to deal with more than a few days. so draining. I also dont like being the houseguest. I miss my own bed and I get freaked out by people who don't share my standards for hygiene.

I actually like having guests over. I grew up constantly having relatives over, I'd always have to give up my bed, share my bed, pull out PJ's for aunties/ cousins to borrow, sleep on the floor, sleep with my sisters, sleep in my parents' room. I liked it, I found it very festive and entertaining. I guess the joy of having company overcame the pain of dealing with the inconveniences. Then again, I liked making my bed and laying nicely folded clean towels for the guests so they felt welcome. I just like doing crap like that.

Head Dump, you can come over and make my bed and lay out my towels nice and folded, any time you like. My place is in dire need of a good straightening out, that's for sure.
