Parking

Why is it that people can have lots of parking spots but choose to park right beside you? I don't mind people parking right beside me, but why do they have to park so close to me that I have to climb into the car through the passenger seat. This has happened to me many times at work...and it's the same car too. There are probably about 10 other spots that this guy can park in just one stall over but he still parks right beside me. I've only had to climb through my passenger seat one time...but that is one time too many. My car is small...a miata...what is this guy thinking? And I park really close to the other side of the spot so that I have plenty of room to get out. On top of that, there are so many scratches on my car. Do people not know how to open their cars or walk by my car without scratching it? I know my car is over four years old but still...this has been happening since the beginning. Too bad I'm too nice to do anything to that guys car.

Wanna fix it once and for all (at least for a year or so)? Go have your car detailed, clay bar'd, polished, leather conditioned, all that. I know a cheap place to do it.

Why? Because if people see that you take care of your car, they're less likely to not care about it. If you see a car next to you that's really shiny and looks like it's well cared for, wouldn't you assume that they are meticulous about it? Wouldn't it be "doubly worse" if you were to disrespect that?

Maybe it's just me then.

Or maybe you should park two spots out from where he parks, so he can take yours, and you have an extra space between the two of you.

I don't think people are more careful just cuz your car is nice. People aren't that observant or considerate.

My car got totally trashed parking in a lot in the city everyday. Little dimples and scratches everywhere. I pretty much gave up.

Now when I park I look for the nicest cars in the lot and park between them, or try to get an end spot so I'm only next to one (preferably nice) car.

That's my issue...I did have a end spot and parked really close to the end so that there would be plenty of space for this guy...but no!!! He has to park over the line and cramp my space. Oh well he doesn't park there anymore...actually I don't see his car anymore...maybe he doesn't work here anymore!

Maybe YOU should just park on that line, so he can't. HA. Nuts to him.
